India’s BRICS Sherpa on the BRICS summit in Rio: Ahead of the 17th BRICS summit in Rio de Janeiro, Mr Dammu Ravi, Secretary (ER), India’s Ministry of External Affairs, and India’s BRICS Sherpa, delivered the keynote address a conference titled “BRICS in Rio: Shaping an Inclusive and Sustainable World Order.” The conference was organised by at Centre for Global India Insights, a leading think tank focused on global affairs, in partnership with the Embassy of Brazil in India, at India International Centre in New Delhi on June 20, 2025. In this video, Mr Ravi spoke about the pivotal role of BRICS+ in providing viable solutions for challenges faced by the Global South. He underlined the role of BRICS in projecting interests and aspirations of the Global South and highlighted India’s successful development models which could be replicated for wider application across the Global South. The conference, moderated by Manish Chand, CEO, CGII, focused on the evolving agenda of the BRICS summit in Rio on July 6-7, 2025.
