Denis Alipov is a seasoned Russian diplomat and the current Ambassador of the Russian Federation to India. A career diplomat with deep expertise in South Asian affairs, Alipov has spent a significant portion of his diplomatic career focusing on Indo-Russian relations.

Prior to his appointment as Ambassador in 2022, he served in various key positions within the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Russian Embassy in New Delhi, including as Deputy Chief of Mission. Known for his strategic insight and fluency in Hindi, Alipov plays a pivotal role in advancing the long-standing partnership between Russia and India across defense, energy, trade, and multilateral platforms.
