Russia’s Ambassador Denis Alipov on BRICS summit in Rio

Outlining Moscow’s priorities for the BRICS summit in Brazil, Russia’s Ambassador to India Denis Alipov has stressed on the need for BRICS unity against the scourge of terrorism. Speaking at a conference titled “BRICS in Rio: Shaping an Inclusive and Sustainable World Order,” the Russian envoy highlighted the emergence of BRICS as “a stabilizing force and a center of gravity” in a challenging global environment. The conference was organised by Centre for Global India Insights, a leading think tank focused on global affairs, in partnership with the Embassy of Brazil in India, at India International Centre in New Delhi on June 20, 2025. The conference, moderated by Manish Chand, CEO, CGII, focused on the evolving agenda of the BRICS summit in Rio on July 6-7, 2025.
