Ahead of India’s term as a non-permanent member of the United Nations Security Council next year, External Affairs Minister S. Jaishankar batted for reformed multilateralism and underlined that India has invested its heart and soul in the success of the UN.”As a founding member of the United Nations, India is invested with its heart and soul, right from the crafting of the principles of the UN Charter to being in the forefront of keeping its peace,” Dr Jaishankar said at an event after releasing  a new postal stamp commemorating the country’s long association with the world body on the occasion of the 75th Anniversary of the United Nations. The stamp was released by the Department of Posts (DOP), Ministry of Communications, at a special function in New Delhi on October 23, 2020. “Reformed multilateralism has become an imperative and India will uphold the interests of the developing world to strengthen the global consensus on the key contemporary challenges,” he said,”As @UN marks its 75th Anniversary, reformed multilateralism has become an essential imperative.
